This vintage art deco retro travel poster features a man and woman with climbing axes (picks) and ropes and walking boots there are snowy mountains, the Alps in the background and they are standing on a grassy mound. The original illustration was drawn by Gino Boccasile in 1946/7 for the regional tourist body to promote tourism for Aosta. This poster encapsulates the glamour of travel in times gone by.
The poster has been carefully, digitally restored by an artist to refresh the colours and to remove any major signs of wear and tear, retaining the vintage character of the piece.
